Stuffed French Toast

INGREDIENTS

• 8 eggs
• 1/3 cup milk
• 1/3 cup half and half
• 1 teaspoon cinnamon
• 1 tablespoon cane sugar
• 1/2 tablespoons butter
• french bread
• strawberries

GARNISH
• blackberries
• maple syrup
• powdered sugar

FILLING

• 8 oz cream cheese, softened
• 2/3 cup powdered sugar
• 1 tablespoon vanilla

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Combine cream cheese, powdered sugar and vanilla until blended.
  2. Spread a thin layer of cream cheese onto two pieces of French bread. Assemble the slices to create a sandwich. Ensure that the two sides of the filling are in the center of the bread.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk eggs, milk, half and half, sugar, and cinnamon.
  4. Dip the sandwich into the egg mixture and coat completely.
  5. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Cook sandwiches on both sides until golden brown.
  6. Garnish with blackberries, strawberries, maple syrup and powdered sugar sprinkles over the top.
