Creamy Garlic Parmesan Rice


4 tablespoons of butter
2 tablespoons of minced garlic
2 cups uncooked rice
2 cups water
1 cup half and half
1 cup milk
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 1/2 teaspoons fresh parsley


1. In a medium-sized saucepan, sauté the garlic in butter over medium heat for about 3 to 5 minutes.

2 Add the rice and mix well, making sure the rice is covered in the butter mixture.

3. Stir in the water, half and half, milk and salt and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the rice has softened.

4. Add the Parmesan and parsley, remove from the heat, cover and let rest for five minutes.
